| Between them, Van and Clarissa Heggelund have
combined extensive experience of over forty years
in the showing, training and care of horses.
In their early years, both started out as active
participants in 4-H, Future Farmers of America,
rodeos and horse shows. Today they continue their
commitment to helping youth develop
their potential for leadership, personal growth
and success in agricultural careers.
Both are active members in: • Future Farmers of America • American Quarter Horse Association • Palomino Horse Breeder's Association • National Snaffle Bit Association • American Paint Horse Association • Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Association • American Quarter Horse Association • Professional Horsemen • California Professional Horseman's Association • United States Dressage Society • Untied Sates Dressage Federation • California Dressage Society VAN HEGGELUND has won numerous world qualifiers and championships in Western Pleasure and Hunter under Saddle as well as AQHA state championships in South Dakota and New Mexico. He holds an Associates degree in Animal Science and Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science from South Dakota State. CLARISSA HEGGELUND holds various all-around titles in 4-H and FFA as well as AQHYA high points. In New Mexico, she was state 4-H Queen, state champion in 4-H Hippology and horse judging. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sales and Services, with an emphasis in Equine Science from Dickinson State University in North Dakota |
